The contractor completed the initial stage of storm sewer installation and began excavation and aggregate base installation for the roadway improvements along the west side of Nippersink Boulevard this week. Nicor Gas and ComEd also worked on their utility services in the area.

Next week, weather permitting, the contractor plans to continue the proposed roadway excavation and possibly frame and pour the proposed curb & gutter along the west side of Nippersink Boulevard.

Motorists should expect minor delays as the roadway work progresses along Nippersink Boulevard, and we ask that you remain alert and exercise caution when traveling through the work zone.
