Traffic Pattern Update

In order to begin the utility and roadway improvements proposed for Nippersink Boulevard between Grand Avenue and Oak Street, the contractor implemented an updated traffic pattern yesterday.

Traffic has been modified to one-way southbound along Nippersink Boulevard between Rolland Place and Oak Street. Traffic will remain two-way along Nippersink Boulevard between Grand Avenue and Rolland Place. Access to local businesses such as Tire Depot, Biglow & Company Insurance, Prunella’s Flower Shoppe, and Shee Goo Rolled Ice Cream are currently accessible to northbound traffic from Grand Avenue.

Northbound Nippersink Boulevard through traffic will utilize the posted detour of Grand Avenue to Forest Avenue to Oak Street to access southbound Nippersink Boulevard as shown in the image above.

In addition, the existing vehicle parking along the west side of Nippersink Boulevard between Oak Street and Rolland Place will be closed.  Motorists who typically utilizes these spaces are encouraged to use the parking lots on the east side of Nippersink Boulevard or the roadway parking south of Rolland Place.

Motorists should continue to expect minor delays along Nippersink Boulevard as progress continues. As always, please be alert when traveling through the work zones.
